The Orion Tr Smart Alternator 18a 12v dc to 12v dc Battery Charger Kit is a reliable and efficient solution for charging your leisure battery while driving. Designed for campervans, motorhomes, vans and 4×4 builds, this kit is fully compatible with modern smart alternators and is ideal for lithium leisure batteries.
Each kit is supplied with professionally sized, pre cut and pre crimped cables, fused and ready for a clean, safe installation, with optional free pre-wiring to make installation even easier (simply leave a note a checkout together with required cable lengths).
How Fast Can It Charge?
The Victron Orion-Tr Smart 18A charger can deliver up to 220Wh of energy per hour of driving, as such each 1 hour driving can increase the state of charge of a 230Ah lithium battery by 8%. This makes it ideal to keep your battery topped up while driving, but depending on your battery size and usage you may still need to get additional charging systems like solar.

Additionally, every kit includes:
- Correctly sized wires pre cut, pre crimped and heat shrink protected
- Heavy duty cable lugs and battery terminal clamps
- Fuse and fuse holder to protect your wiring and equipment
All cables and fuses are supplied cut to size with connectors already attached. Unless the prewired option is selected, this kit is supplied with clear step-by-step DIY installation instructions.
